Precious Women of God,
I am feeling the weight of the words the Lord is giving me to share with you today. These next few weeks we want to explore what it means to boldly believe. Our theme for this year is taken from 2 Corinthians 3:12. When we truly have hope in the Lord, we can indeed live boldly, following Jesus wherever He leads us.
I am certain every one of us would say we believe the Word of God. We believe Jesus is truly the Messiah. We believe He has created us and called us to be His disciples.
I am also certain that many of us have never really given any thought to what it might mean to live boldly for God or what it might look like to boldly believe. I am certain that if you do not believe boldly, you will not have the courage to live boldly and fulfill the purposes for which God has placed you in this world right at this particular time.
So, what does it look like to believe boldly? Well, although it is as simple as saying that you believe the Word of God and trust in the Lord with all your heart, it may not be as easy to live like you do.
Let’s explore a few verses together to see what I mean.
Those who believe John 10:27 know God’s voice and listen to Him.
Those who believe Hebrews 11:6 are diligently seeking the Lord daily.
Those who believe Luke 1:25 live boldly rather than in fear.
Those who believe James 1:5, are asking the Lord for daily wisdom—how to do their job better, how to be a better parent or how to solve any problem they might encounter in any given day.
Those who believe 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18 rejoice, pray and give thanks in all things.
Those who believe Matthew 28:19-20 are actively discipling others.
Those who believe Philippians 4:6-7 are filled with peace instead of anxiety.
Those who believe Psalm 139: 14 do not hate themselves or others.
Those who believe 1 John 1:4 are loving.
Those who believe Colossians 3:13 are forgiving.
Those who believe James 5:9 do not grumble.
Those who believe Ephesians 6:10-18 know what the armor of God is and how to use it.
Those who believe Romans 8:1 do not condemn themselves or others for shortcomings.
Ladies, I know that none of us do this perfectly. This article is not meant to condemn anyone, but to challenge all of us to consider how we can truly live what we believe. To believe boldly means to live as though you believe it. Yes, we need the Holy Spirit to work in and through us in order to grow in applying the Word. If you believe the Word but don’t know how to apply what you believe to your daily life challenges, then I invite you to get involved in a discipling relationship with someone who can teach and encourage you how to do that. And, if you need help finding someone to disciple you, please email me!
Living boldly for God,
